“….Sonata 1962 focuses as much on Laura's budding, forbidden romance with Sarah, and director Katherine M. Carter moves between both story lines with impressive fluidity in the show's packed 80 minutes, with Wesley Cornwell's homely-looking set intensifying the sense of intimacy…. Sonata 1962 refuses us the comfort of easy judgments.”
“SONATA 1962 at NYMF is Real, Relatable and Heart-Wrenching…this show was brilliant and moved me to tears on multiple occasions…Sonata 1962 is a must-see. It strikes an emotional chord, and can be relatable to so many, while still feeling true and real”
“Director Katherine M. Carter paces the show very well, and handles the gradual reveal of clues about the story through the performances of the actors nicely.”
